Chapter 2 Preparations

DIMM
Install a Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) to a DIMM socket on the motherboard in the server. The
motherboard provides four sokets to install DIMMs.
Important
Use only the DIMMs provided by NEC.
Read through Chapter 2 (1.2 Anti-static Measures) beforehand.
Tips
Up to 32 GB (8 GB 4) of memory can be installed.
The server supports 2-way interleaved memory system.
In 2-way interleaved memory system, the data transfer rate of the memory is twice that of a non-interleaved
memory system.
