UID LED (ID)
The UID LED is provided one each at the front and rear of the server. This LED is used to identify the target
server among multiple servers installed in a rack.
The following table lists UID LED patterns.
UID LED pattern Description
On (blue) UID Switch is on.
UID LED turns off when UID Switch is pressed again.
Flashing blue The server is received the command from the management software.
Off UID Switch is off.

LED on a hard disk drive
DISK LED on a hard disk drive indicates several states.
The following table lists DISK LED patterns.
DISK LED pattern Description
On (green)/Flashing green Hard disk drive is being accessed.
On (amber) Hard disk drive is failing in RAID system.
Flashing green and amber alternately Rebuild is in progress.
Rebuild starts automatically when the broken HDD is replaced. (Auto
Rebuild Feature)
Off Hard disk drive is halted.
Important Observe the following precautions whenever you use the auto rebuild feature.
Do not turn off or reboot the server while a hard disk drive is being rebuilt.
Wait at least 90 seconds before installing a hard disk drive after removing one.
Do not replace a hard disk drive while another hard disk drive is being rebuilt.
