(3) Removing outer rails
If multiple rails are installed and the unlock lever cannot be pushed, remove the rail from the rack by using
the following procedure.
See Chapter 2 (2.1.2 - (2) Removal procedure) to remove the server from the rack.

2. Prepare the designated tool to remove
slide rail (outer rail) that comes with the
server.
3. Insert the tool into the slit at the front of a
rail as shown in the right figure.
4. Unlock the rail by moving the tool in the
direction as shown in the right figure.
