Chapter 2 Preparations
If using optional RAID Controller for a 2.5-inch drive model with six hard disk drives installed (1 to 6
drives)
• You need to prepare the internal SAS/SATA cables K410-240(00) and K410-204(00), which are separately
available.
• Connect the P0 to P3 connectors of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-240(00) to the SATA2 to SATA5
connectors on the backplane, respectively.
• Connect the P4 and P5 connectors of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-204(00) to the SATA6 and
SATA7 connectors on the backplane, respectively.
• Connect pin 1 (indicated by the triangle Δ) of the S1 connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable
K410-240(00) to pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of the SGPIO1 connector on the backplane.
• Connect pin 1 (indicated by the triangle Δ) of the S2 connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable
K410-204(00) to pin 1 (indicated by the bold line) of the SGPIO2 connector on the backplane.
• Connect the miniSAS connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-240(00) to the connectors for ports
0 to 3 on the optional RAID Controller.
• Connect the miniSAS connector of the internal SAS/SATA cable K410-204(00) to the connectors for ports
4 to 7 on the optional RAID Controller.
