(1) Manual Registration
(1)-(a) Click the group name belong the EM card on the “Component Link” screen or “Group” tree.
(1)-(b) Click the “Add Component” – “Manual Registration” on the “Group Information” tree of the
group.
(1)-(c) Input the following items on the ”Manual Registration” screen.
--“Component Name”
Enter the EM card name on the NEC ESMPRO Manager.
--“Setting for SNMP management”
-“Management”
Select the “Register”.
-“IP Address”
Enter the Fixed IP address of the EM card.
-“SNMP community name”
Enter the ”SNMP community name” specified on EM card.
--“Setting for Management controller management (Common)”
-“Management”
Select the “Register”.
- “Authentication Key”
Enter the “NEC ESMPRO Manager(former NEC DianaScope) user password” that is set on the
EM card.
--“Setting for Management controller management (LAN)”
- “IP address 1”
Enter the Fixed IP address and subnet mask of the EM card.
(1)-(d) Click “Add”.
(1)-(e) Click “Check Connection” on the “Component Setting” tree - “Connection Setting” screen.
NEC ESMPRO Manager will execute “Check Connection” and collect the information for the
management.
When the “Check Connection” is completed, the NEC ESMPRO Manager can control the EM card.
(2) Auto Registration
(2)-(a) Click the group name belong the EM card on the “Component Link” screen or “Group” tree.
(2)-(b) Click the “Add Component” – “Manual Registration” on the “Group Information” tree of the
group.
(2)-(c) Select “Search Mode” on the “Auto Registration” screen.
With “Network Address Search”, enter the network address and network mask.
With “IP Address Range Search”, enter the “start address” and “end address” of the IP address range.
In both search mode case, "SNMP Community Name" and "Authentication key" must be specified.
"SNMP Community Name" is the "SNMP Community Name" specified on EM card. "Authentication
key" is the "NEC ESMPRO Manager(former NEC Dianascope) user password".
After that, click “Search”.
The search for the managed components will start.
