5. Hold the drive carrier and its handle and
insert it into the slot.
Note
Push it all the way until the handle’s lock touches the frame.
Hold the drive carrier firmly with both hands.
6. Slowly close the handle.
The drive carrier is locked making a clicking sound.
Important
Do not get your finger caught between the handle and the drive carrier.
Push the drive further to check if it is firmly locked.
Note
When you push the drive into the slot, confirm the handle got hooked on the
frame.
7. Turn on the server, start the SETUP utility, and then specify the boot order from the Boot menu. For
details about the Boot menu, refer to Chapter 2 (1.2.5 Boot) in "Maintenance Guide".
This process is required because the saved boot order is cleared when you add a Hard Disk Drive.
8. Refer to Chapter 2 (1.16 Attaching the Front Bezel (Option of R110d-1E)) to put the front bezel back.
Orient the front bezel so that the alignment tab on the left will engage with the server frame and lock it
with the security key.
