Changing the configuration of the servers
If you change the configura tion of the servers (such as att aching or removing HD Ds) with the [Information of
server state/constitution] tree displayed, the changes will not be reflected to the [Information of server state/co
nstitution] tree. After changing the c onfiguration, click the target server icon displayed in the [Gro up] or [Chass i
s] tree to upd ate the [Infor mation of server state/constitution] tree.
Display of the Information of EM Card state/constitution
If you rem ove and the n mount a CPU blade during display of the "I nformation of EM Card state/constitution"
navigation tree, select the E M card from t he Group/Chassis tree to u pdate the information.
If the page cannot be displayed on Web browser
When you start NEC ESMPRO Manager or application that is inst alled after NEC ESMPRO Manager installati
on, the Web browser may displays "The page cannot be displayed." or "The server cannot be found." and the
page cannot be displayed. In this case, the port number of NEC ESMPRO Manager and o ther application m
ay be overl apped. See the procedure on "Coe xistence with Tomcat" in "6.1 After Installation".
RAID operation
See the User's Guide of Universal RAID Utility (after Ver.2.1) installed on the managed server for notes about
the op eration of RAID s ystem with [Information of server state] navigation tree.
Alert driven status control function
The alert driven status control function which is s upplied as a Windows application can not be used on the W
eb browser interface. If th e function is enabled, there is the possibility that you misunderstand the st atus of th
e managed servers, because the server status color on th e Web browser of the client side changes by startin
g, operating, or exiting the AlertViewer (Windows application) on the Web server side. It is recommended th at
you disable the alert driven status control function.
