♦Power saving mode of the operating system
When a computer on which NEC ESMPRO Ma nager is installed goes into a power saving mode, all featu
res of NEC ESMPRO Manager (such as alert reception, server status monitoring and automatic statistical
data collection) stop. It is recommen ded that you disable the p ower saving mode.
When a monitored server with the Wake On Directed Packet option enabled for the network adapter settin
g goes into the power saving mode, the server is powered on immediately by the server status monitoring
feature of NEC ESMPRO Manager which regularly sends packets to the s erver. In such a case, disable t
he Wake On Directed Packet option.
♦System event log when installing NEC ESMPRO Manager on Windows Vista
When installing NEC ESMP RO Manager on Windows Vista, the following event may be reported on Windows
Logs (System). This event is not a problem.

When installing NEC E SMPRO Manager, the following event will be reported on Application event log. T hi
s does not cause a problem with security, so you do not need to d o anything for i t.

This provider will be run usi ng the Lo calSystem account. This account is p rivileged and t
he provider may cause a sec urity violation if it doe s not corr ectly impersonate user reque
sts. Ensure that provider has been reviewed for s ecurity behavior and update the H osting
Model property of the p rovider registration to an acc ount with the least privileges possible
for the req uired functionality.
In addition to the above, there is ESMPROProvider as a provider name.
