♦Display of the network speed
When you monitor Linux servers, S peed will not be displayed on the Network General view of th e [Inform
ation of server state]. In such a cas e, check it on the monitored server.
When you monitor Windows servers which have network interfaces of which speeds are 10Gbps or ove r,
Speed may not be displayed correctly on the Network General view of the [Information of server state]. In
such a c ase, check it on the mo nitored servers.
When you monitor Windows Server 2008 servers which have network interfaces with which a cable is not
connected, an incorrect value (4,294 Mbps) may be displayed for the Speed on the Network General vie
w of the [Information of server state].
♦Display of the network status
When you monitor a serv er with Windows Vista installed, the mes sage "Dormant" appears for S tatus on th e N
etwork General view of the [Information of server state] even if th e network properly works. In s uch a c ase, c
heck the network status on the monitored server.
♦Display of the teamed network interfaces
If network interfaces are te amed on a ser ver with Windows Vista / Win dows 7 /Windows Server 2008 / W indo
ws Server 2008 R2 installed, the network information may not be properly displayed on the [Information of ser
ver state]. Check it on th e monitored server
♦Coexistence of NEC ESMPRO Manager with HP OpenView Network Node Manager
(NNM)]
To install NNM on th e environment where the N EC ESMPRO Manager has been installed, take the fol lowi
ng steps before installing NNM:
1. Select [Use S NMP Trap Service] from [Me thod of receiving SNMP Trap] displayed by clicking [SNMP
Trap Setting] of the AlertViewer.
When the message "Changes will take effect after the management computer has been restarted." a
ppears, exit the AlertV iewer and then take the follo wing steps without shutting do wn and rest arting t
he system:
2. Exit all applications related to NEC ESMP RO
3. Stop "NVBase System Service" (and other dependent services) by selecting [Administrative Tools] -
[Services] on t he operating system.
After the abov e, install NNM and r estart the comp uter.
To install the NEC ESMPRO Manager on the e nvironment where NNM has b een installed, restart the com
puter after the installation of the NEC ES MPRO Manager completes.
Then, take the follo wing steps:
Select [Use SNMP Trap Service] from [Method of r eceiving SNMP Trap] displayed by clicking [SNMP Trap
Setting] of th e AlertViewer.
After the abov e, restart the computer
