Troubleshooting 6-19
Windows started up with the network adapter settings that were not configured in the Express
Setup.
o Windows installs network adapters it recognizes and sets the default value to them. You
can change the settings from Control Panel after Windows is started.
When the Express Setup is performed but no adapter is actually connected, adapter
settings will not be made, but protocols will be installed.
Multiple network adapters have been installed with a different protocol set to each of them.
However all protocols are set to all the adapters.
o This is the specification, which makes all installed protocols available to each adapter.
What cannot be configured by the Express Setup will have default values.
When two or more network adapters have been set, the detailed settings of TCP/IP protocol are
configured to use DHCP.
o When two or more network adapters are set, protocol detailed settings may have default
values. Configure the detailed settings from Control Panel.
Default settings are used for the protocol detailed settings though not more than one network
adapter is connected (for example, though IP address has been set to TCP/IP, DHCP is set).
Have you set two or more protocols?
o In this case, the status is the same as the status where two or more network adapters are
connected. Because of this default settings are used for the protocol detailed settings.
Configure the detailed settings from Control Panel after the OS is started.
The event log below is recorded after executing Express Setup:
Source : HASSETUP
Type : Error
Event ID : 201
Description : HASSETUP: The module in one side is not recognized.
o GeminiEngine Control Software is not properly installed because one of the CPU/IO
modules could not be recognized during its installation. The possible reasons are:
One of the CPU/IO modules is not mounted. (The screws that fix the removable
handle of the CPU/IO module are not fastened properly, or the power is not
supplied.)
 The CPU/IO module is faulty.
Take necessary actions such as checking the device status and mounting the CPU/IO
module. Then, reinstall GeminiEngine Control Software with both CPU/IO modules
mounted and the power supplied. For more information about installing procedure,
see “Installing GeminiEngine Control Software” (page 6-13).
