LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility and Universal RAID
Utility
Universal RAID Utility is available as a utility to configure, manage, and monitor the LSI Embedded MegaRAID
after the operating system starts.
The points to be noted when using the Universal RAID Utility together with the LSI Software RAID Configuration
Utility are described below.
(1) Terms
Some terms are different between the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility and Universal RAID Utility.
When using the Universal RAID Utility together with the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility, replace the
terms as shown in the table below:

raidcmd is a command provided by the Universal RAID Utility. For details, refer to
"Universal RAID Utility User’s Guide".
(2) Management numbers
The numbers indicating RAID Controller information differ between the LSI Software RAID Configuration
Utility and Universal RAID Utility as shown in the table below.
