Creating and adding a configuration
Run the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility
Set new configuration data (Disk array/virtual drive settings)
Check the virtual drive settings
Initialize the virtual drive
Execute a Consistency Check
Exit the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility
1. Run the LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility.
2. To create a new configuration, select Configure and then New Configuration from the TOP menu
(Management Menu).
To add a configuration, select Configure and then View/Add Configuration.
Important
When a configuration is created by selecting New Configuration, the existing
configuration data is cleared. To add configuration data to
the existing
configuration, select View/Add Configuration.
Note
• When Easy Configuration is selected to create a configuration, the virtual drive
capacity cannot be specified. If you want to specify the capacity, select New
Configuration or View/Add Configuration.
• For RAID10, the virtual drive capacity is set as the maximum capacity. You
cannot specify a capacity.
• For RAID0, skip Check Consistency.
