7. Resetting and Clearing the Server

8. Execute Load Setup Default from the Save & Exit menu, configure the necessary settings, and save
the changes.
• Clearing a password
1. Refer to "Getting Started" provided with this server or Chapter 2 (1. Installing Internal Optional Devices)
in "User’s Guide" to remove the side cover.
2. Confirm the position of the password clearing jumper switch.
3. Change jumper switch settings from “Protection (1-2)” to “Clear (2-3).”
4. Connect the power cable, the keyboard, the mouse, and the display, and then press the POWER
switch.
POST halts with the following error message
ERROR
8007: Password Cleared By Jumper.
Press<F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup
5. Press the <F2> key to start the BIOS Setup utility.
6. Change the password. Next, execute [Save Changes and Exit].
7. Turn off the power, disconnect the power cable, and make preparations by repeating steps 1 and 2.
8. Return the jumper switch settings from “Clear (2-3)” to “Protection (1-2).”
9. Reattach the side cover, and connect the peripheral cables and the power cable to the server.
