Installing and Configuring Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0
Installation Assumption
The installation and configuration instructions in this appendix assume the following:

You have properly completed the hardware installation.
!
You have run the BIOS Setup Utility to check system configuration.
IMPORTANT:
To successfully install Windows 2000 on your system,
PnP must be enabled in your system BIOS.

You will be installing Windows
®
2000 Operating System from the
CD-ROM media.
IMPORTANT:
If you have the optional disk array controller
preinstalled on your system, it was preconfigured at the factory. Refer to
your system's User's Guide andtotheRAID Installation Guide and the
Disk Array Controller Installation Guide and User’s Manual for
additional information on this option card. If you need to change the
RAID level from the factory setting, you must change the setting before
installing the operating system.
