Removing the CD-ROM/Diskette Drives from the System
1. Power down the system and remove top cover as described earlier in this
chapter.
2. Disconnect the CD-ROM/diskette signal and voltage cables connected to
these devices. See Figure 4-37.When removing the diskette signal cable, you
must first push up on the cable lock (A) before pulling the ribbon cable (B)
out of the connector. Disconnect the CDROM signal cable (C) and the
voltage cable (D).

3. Remove the CD-ROM/diskette devices from the peripheral bay by pushing
in on the drive rail clips and then by pulling the device completely out of the
bay (Figure 4-38).
