Returning Calls 48NEAXMail IM-16 LX User Guide
To access caller ID information using Soft Keys
If your phone service provider does not provide caller ID
information to your organization, your system can be set
up to ask callers to enter their phone number before their
call is transferred to your extension. See your system man-
ager for more information.
Depending on your phone system, you can use Soft Keys
on your phone to determine caller ID information, if avail-
able. You can also press touchtone keys to access caller ID
information. See “To access caller ID information using
touchtone keys” on page 49.
USING SOFT KEYS
1 Call the voice messaging system, and enter your personal ID and
security code if prompted.
2 Do either of the following:
• To hear new messages, press the Soft Key below the NEW option
on the phone display.
• To hear old messages, press the Soft Key below the OLD option
on the phone display.
3 After listening to a message, press the Soft Key below the CID
option on the phone display. If available, the system plays the
phone number associated with the message.
