2 Description of the product
2.1 Intended Use and Reasonably Foreseeable Misuse
The Smart Probe is intended to be used as digital food temperature probe. The Smart Probe
enables the taking of hot and cold food temperatures using a separately available needle as well
as taking surface temperatures using the in-built Infrared sensor.
The Smart Probe shall not be used as a domestic device and is suitable only for the taking of
food temperatures within a commercial kitchen environment
The Smart Probe shall be used with the following software, original accessories and components
only:
• Navitas Digital Food Safety cloud software
• Food Needle (available separately)
• Smart Probe charger
2.2 Geographical Restrictions
Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU requires that in cases of restrictions on putting into
service or of requirements for authorisation of use, information available on the packaging shall
allow the identification of the Member States or the geographical area within a Member State
where restrictions on putting into service or requirements for authorisation of use exist and that
such information shall be completed in the instructions accompanying the radio equipment.
