For details of how to install the navigation system correctly refer to the
chapter "Installing the navigation system in the vehicle" on page 13.
The proximity sensor responds not only when I want to operate the
navigation system but also when I move the steering wheel or use the
gear lever.
The steering wheel and/or the gear lever are within the reaction radius
of the proximity sensor.
Mount the cradle further away from the steering wheel and/or the
gear lever.
-or-
In the N
AVIGATION window tap on Options > Settings > General >
Reaction Radius and reduce the size of the radius within which the
sensor responds to movements.
The proximity sensor responds not only to my hand but also to the
windscreen wipers when they are running.
Try the following:
1. In the N
AVIGATION window tap on Options > Settings > General >
Reaction Speed.
2. Reduce the value of the response speed until the sensor no longer
responds to the windscreen wipers.
If this fails to solve the problem, reduce the reaction radius as well:
In the N
AVIGATION window tap on Options > Settings > General >
Reaction Radius and reduce the radius within which the sensor
responds to movements.
If the problem is still not solved, you can deactivate the proximity
sensor.
In the N
AVIGATION window tap on Options > Settings > General >
Use proximity sensor. Set the value to No.
