How to use the MM04i Bluetooth® Wireless technology speaker-handset : PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY before using your new speaker-handset. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ BEFORE OPERATING EQUIPMENT This product was designed and manufactured to meet strict quality and safety standards. 4 MM04i have 3 different mode : - Private call mode / led3 will be ligh in RED color : Use it as a handset.
CONNECTING YOUR MM04i TO YOUR iPHONE® (OR ANY BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY MOBILE PHONE.) STEP1 CHARGE YOUR MM04i a. Connect the round pin of the AC adaptor cable provided to the base of the MM04i b. Plug the AC adaptor into a power outlet. c. Finally, place the handset in the charging base to charge the battery* The RED charging LED will appear behind the front grill. * The MM04i comes with a build-in rechargeable battery. It takes about four hours to fully recharge the battery.
6 IN CONNECTED STATUS When your MM04i is low battery, the RED led2 of the handset will light on. Place it back to the base to charge it. When your MM04i has enough battery, the BLUE LED2 of the handset will light on. IN UNCONNECTED STATUS When your MM04i is low battery, the RED led2 of the handset will start blinking. Place it back to the base to charge it. When your MM04i is enough battery, the BLUE LED2 of the handset will start blinking.
7 STEP3 TURN YOUR MM04i OFF To turn off your MM04i, you must press and hold the POWER ( ) button button for 3 seconds. When your MM04i is off, you will hear a sound and the BLUE led at the back of the handset will turn off. STEP4 PAIRING THE MM04i BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS HANDSET WITH YOUR iPHONE® (OR ANY BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY MOBILE PHONE.) First of all, you must make sure that your mobile phone has Bluetooth® Wireless capability.
8 b) Make sure the Bluetooth® Wireless function is activated on your mobile phone, and instruct your mobile phone to search for new Bluetooth® devices. (check the user's instructions of your mobile phone if you need more information about this) c) Place your MM04i Bluetooth® Wireless handset within 1 meter away from your mobile phone. d) Your mobile phone should search for all Bluetooth® devices and the name “MM04i” should appear on the Bluetooth® device list.
Once your MM04i will be connected and if it has sufficient battery, the led2 will light in blue. If the MM04i is connected but has a low battery level, the led2 will light in red. Sufficient Battery 9 Low Battery Those led are a visual indication, to tell you if the MM04i is connected or not to your mobile phone, and to indicate you the battery level. You can use now your MM04i ! Note : Some phones will connect to the MM04i automatically.
10 CHARGING YOUR IPHONE® To charge your iPhone® with your MM04i, you need to “Push” the Iphone® dock to open (located on the base of the MM04i) Place your Iphone in this dedicated Iphone® dock Your iPhone® will be charged in both power on and power off modes until it reaches the FULL CHARGE mode. To recharge your iPhone®, the AC adapter must be connected to the base of MM04i.
ANSWERING AN INCOMING CALL IN PRIVATE MODE : a) When the handset in on the base : - Simply pick up the handset from the base You may, should you prefer, also answer the call directly on your mobile phone as usual.
12 DISCONNECTING A CALL To hang-up a call on your MM04i, simply press the MFB (O) button once or place the handset back on the base. INFORMATION : During your conversation with MM04i you can switch between the Private Call mode and the Conference Call mode by simply pressing the POWER ( ) button, at the back of the handset. In Private call mode, the led1 will light in RED color, whereas it will light in GREEN color in Conference Call mode.
OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE MM04i BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS SPEAKER-HANDSET SYNCING YOUR IPHONE® Your MM04i can also synchronize your iPhone® with your computer : a) Simply plug the Micro-USB / USB cable provided between the Micro-USB port of the MM04i base and the USB port of your computer. c) The synchronization process between your computer and your iPhone® will automatically start whenever you Iphone® will be docked.
14 END ACTIVE CALL AND ACCEPT WAITING CALL During a call, to end the active call and accept the waiting incoming call on your MM04i, short press the MFB (O) button. HOLD ACTIVE CALL AND ACCEPT WAITING CALL During a call, to hold your actual active call and accept the waiting incoming call on your MM04i, double press the MFB (O) button. Please do the same if you want to switch again between the two calls.
CHOOSE YOUR MM04i RINGTONE You can define how you want your MM04i to ring on incoming calls. You have a choice of 2 ringtones. f) To enter the ringtone selection mode on you MM04i, press and hold for 2 seconds Volume + (+) and Volume – (-) buttons together. Your MM04i will then play the first ringtone repeatedly. g) To select a ringtone, short press the MFB (O) button and the Volume + (+) button together. Each press of those combine buttons will play the next ringtone.
16 By default, some phones (including Blackberry phones) will prompt you to confirm whether you want to accept the connection from the MM04i.
The MM04i can store pairing information for up to 4 Bluetooth devices. If you pair a fifth device, it will replace the stored pairing information for the phone that has not connected to the MM04i for the longest time. You can connect the MM04i to two Bluetooth devices at the same time.
18 Which phone is the primary phone? The primary phone is either the phone that connected to the MM04i most recently or the phone that had the last active call: • When your phones connect to the MM04i, the one that connects last becomes the primary. • Every time you have an active call through the MM04i (incoming or outgoing), the phone with the call becomes the primary phone.
• Short press MFB button to end the current call and accept the incoming call. • Double press MFB to hold the current call and accept the incoming call. • Or do nothing if you want to ignore the incoming call and continue with the current call.
20 MUSIC PLAYBACK Once connected with your mobile phone and MM04i in Speaker mode, you can control your music playback from your iPhone®, or any other Bluetooth® wireless technology mobile phone compatible with music playback function. VOLUME CONTROL During music playback, to adjust the volume on your MM04i, simply locate the volume control + and – buttons and press “+” to increase the volume or “–”to decrease it. Please note that there is a response time of 1 second when pressing the volume button.
ENABLE / DISABLE SURROUND EFFECT During music playback, double press the POWER ( ) button to activate or deactivate the surround effect. INFORMATION : The MM04i will auto power-off if it is in unconnected status and non-charging status for 10 minutes. INFORMATION : 1. The Bluetooth link has a higher priority than the 3.5mm audio jack link, which means that the music will be streaming through Bluetooth even if the 3.5mm audio jack is plugged in the handset. 2. 22 TROUBLE SHOOTING No Connection between your MM04i and your iPhone®, or any other Bluetooth® Wireless technology mobile phone ? The first thing to do is to make sure that your mobile phone and the MM04i have recognized each other and are properly paired together. The next thing to check is if the MM04i and your mobile phone are within a 10m range maximum (open area) Your iPhone® does not fit into the built-in universal dock ? There might be some obstructions on the dock.
