Installation Instructions

General Installation Notes:
• Observe and conform to all local building and plumbing codes.
• All Native Trails basins should be installed by professional installers.
• As our basins are hand crafted and dimensions are approximate, we recommend using the actual basin for the cut-out.
• Differentcountertopmaterialswillrequiredifferentmethodsofcuttingandmayhaveotherspecicneedssuchasexposedareasofwoodthatmay
needwaterproongforundermounting.
• All installation types need to allow room for faucet installation. Ensure adequate clearance behind the basin for your faucet and backsplash, as well
as the full range of motion for faucet handles and spouts.
• Use 100% Silicone (non-water based) for all installations.
• Make sure a watertight seal exists on all drain connections.
• DONOTplacebasindirectlyonoor.Afterunpacking,placebasinonprotectivematerialsuchasfoammoldsorcardboardfromthepackaging.
• Remember to always use non-abrasive cleaners on Native Trails basins. Mild soap and water is recommended. Refer to Care and
Maintenance Instructions for further information.

• Universal Mount sinks may be dropped in or undermounted.
For Universal Mount/ Drop-in/ Undermount Installation:
1. Use actual basin as your template. Place it upside down on countertop and mark countertop by tracing edge of basin. Be sure to allow clearance for
faucetandotheraccessoriesorxtures.
2. Measureinsideedgeoflipandmarkcountertopaccordingly,insideoftherstline.
3. Determine installation type: Drop-In or Undermount
a. If dropping-in:
I. Cut countertop midway in-between the two lines.
II. Temporarilyplacebasininholetoverifypropert.
III. Apply silicone around hole in countertop and place basin in hole.
b. If undermounting:
I. Cut countertop on inside line.
II. Apply silicone around hole in underside of countertop and position basin.
4. Use a level to make sure that basin is sitting level in all directions, front to back and side to side; while pressing down to seal.
5. For undermounting, mounting clip fasteners may be used to secure basin under countertop if desired.
6. Carefully remove any excess silicone.
7. Install the drain according to the drain’s installation instructions.
For Vessel Installation:
1. Measure outside perimeter of drain opening and mark countertop.
2. Cut countertop for drain opening.
3. Place basin on top of countertop and make sure that the drain opening sits down inside of countertop.
4. Use a level to make sure that the basin is sitting level in all directions, front to back and side to side.
5. Install the drain according to the drain’s installation instructions.
6. The hold down nut of the drain pipe will secure the basin to the countertop.
7. You may use a bead of clear silicone to seal in-between the outside edge of vessel where it is mounted to the countertop.
ForRaisedProleInstallation:
1. Use actual basin as your template. Place it upside down on countertop and mark countertop by tracing edge of basin. Be sure to allow clearance for
faucetandotheraccessoriesorxtures.**(see notes below)
2. Measureinsideedgeoflipandmarkcountertopaccordingly,insideoftherstline.
3. Cut countertop at inner dimension of sink.
4. Temporarilyplacebasininholetoverifypropert.
5. Use wood screws from underneath the countertop and screw into wood blocks or use silicone on wood blocks to adhere/secure to countertop. Make
sure that the screws align with the wood blocks. If the screws are not placed properly, damage to the copper may occur.
6. Use a level to make sure that the basin is siting level in all directions, front to back and side to side; while pressing down to seal.
7. Apply silicone around rim of the sink.
8. Carefully remove any excess silicone.
9. Install the drain according to the drain’s installation instructions.
Whencleaningupafterinstallations,DONOTUSEABRASIVECLEANER,astheymayscratchandchangethebasinsurfaceandnish.Usewarm
water, a soft cloth and a non-abrasive soap (such as dish soap) to clean the surface.
Refer to Care and Maintenance Instructions for further informaiton.
**ForinstallationofthePalisadesbasin,before cutting the countertop, turn basin over and measure from the bottom inner edge of the apron to the front
edge of the basin (approx. 2.5”). This will provide the measurement for determining where to cut/place the basin so the apron front extends properly over
the edge of the countertop.
