13 Appendix C – Quick References
This appendix provides you with Quick Reference tables summing up the basic functionality of
each control element on your TRAKTOR KONTROL S2. This gives you a quick and concise
overview of all basic functions of your controller. For more info on each control element, please
refer to the descriptions in chapter 6, Hardware Overview.

Control element Function
Remix Mode buttons A/B (be-
low REMIX knob)
Switches the CUE/REMIX SLOTS buttons to Remix Deck mode. Lit when
Remix Deck mode is enabled. See 7.5, Using the CUE/REMIX SLOTS Sec-
tion for more info on the CUE/REMIX SLOTS section modes.
Load buttons A/B (below
BROWSE encoder)
Normal: loads selected track on the respective Deck.
SHIFT: copies and pastes the content of the opposite Track Deck to the
Deck.
Lights up when you press the jog wheel’s top plate.
Jog wheel Outer rim: tempo bending.
Top plate: scratch control (direct control on playback position).
SHIFT + top plate: seek through track (fast forward / rewind).
In Loop: hold LOOP IN / LOOP OUT button and spin the jog wheel to fine-
tune the Loop In Point / Loop Out Point.
Tempo fader Increases/decreases Deck tempo.
Hold SHIFT to move the fader without altering the tempo.
FLUX buttons Engage TRAKTOR’S Flux mode when pressed.
Press SHIFT + FLUX to reset a Deck’s tempo.
