5.2.5 Hotcue Buttons
The Hotcue buttons are numbered 1-4 on each transport area of the S4. These RGB backlit
buttons directly reflect TRAKTOR's cue button coloring:
Blue: Cue point
Green: Loop
Yellow: Load
Orange: Fade In/Out
White: Grid Marker
TRAKTOR DJ will save the BeatGrid location as a Hotcue; this is why many tracks will ap-
pear with one white HotCue button.
When using TRAKTOR DJ's Loop Slicer, the S4's Hotcue buttons 1-4 and REMIX SLOTS
buttons (located above the HotCues) control Slices. Hotcue buttons 1-4 will illuminate
green when in Loop Slicer mode, whereas the REMIX SLOTS orange. Refer to the section
5.2.6, Using Loops.
When using TRAKTOR DJ's Freeze Mode, the S4's Hotcue buttons 1-4 and REMIX SLOTS
buttons control Slices. HotCue buttons 1-4 will illuminate blue when in Freeze mode,
whereas the REMIX SLOTS (located above the HotCues) buttons orange. Refer to the sec-
tion 5.2.7, Using the MOVE Encoders.
To delete any stored cue points, loops etc., hold the SHIFT button whilst pressing the Hot-
Cue button you wish to delete. The button will no longer be backlit.
