Due to the different FX routing scheme, the FX Assign buttons work differently:
FX Assign button Function with four FX Units
FX Assign 1 Channel A: Assigns the channel to FX Unit 1.
Channel B: unused.
Channel C: Assigns the channel to FX Unit 3.
Channel D: unused.
FX Assign 2 Channel A: unused.
Channel B: Assigns the channel to FX Unit 2.
Channel C: unused.
Channel D: Assigns the channel to FX Unit 4.
For more info on the FX Assign buttons, please refer to section ↑6.4.3, The Channels and
the Crossfader.
Note that if you switched a Deck to Live Input, it cannot be focused from your S4 (see ↑6.3.1,
Deck Flavors and Structure). Hence, with four FX Units activated, you cannot access the Live
Input’s dedicated FX Unit from your S4. Of course, you can still control this FX Unit in the
software.
7.5 The Setup Wizard
The Setup Wizard lets you configure TRAKTOR in a few simple steps. It also is a convenient
way to restart with a fresh out-of-the-box setup. The Setup Wizard does two things:
▪ It lets you choose from a few basic audio, MIDI, and general setup configurations and au-
tomatically sets the available options accordingly.
▪ It resets all other TRAKTOR settings to their default values.
