Using the Setup Wizard
When setting up TRAKTOR KONTROL S4, the easiest way is to start the Setup Wizard. This
allows you to choose from a set of basic Deck configurations and to forget about any audio
routing settings—these will be automatically configured according to the selected Deck config-
uration!
Bear in mind, though, that the Setup Wizard additionally resets all TRAKTOR settings to their
default values. For more info on the Setup Wizard, please refer to section ↑7.5, The Setup Wiz-
ard.
Using the Preferences
In some circumstances, you might prefer to manually set the correct routing for incoming au-
dio signals in TRAKTOR depending on your specific needs. This is notably the case in the fol-
lowing situations:
▪ You already customized TRAKTOR and don’t want to lose all your particular settings.
▪ Your desired configuration is not proposed by the Setup Wizard.
You can directly configure the audio routing options via the Input Routing page of the Prefer-
ences:
