You can now release the REVERSE (COLOR) button and the Sample continues to play
forwards.
Changing Back to Reversed Sample Playback
If you actually preferred reverse playback for this Sample, it is just as easy to change it back:
1. Push and hold the REVERSE (COLOR) button.
2. Push and hold the target pad.
3. Release the REVERSE (COLOR) button.
4. Release the target pad.

Now the Sample is playing in reverse again!
Temporarily Reversing Sample Playback
The two methods above "pin" the Sample playback direction "permanently." But in many cases,
you'll just want to reverse Sample playback direction temporarily:
1. With the Sample (pad A1) playing forwards, press and hold the REVERSE (COLOR) but-
ton.
2. While still holding the REVERSE (COLOR) button, press and hold the target pad for as
long as you want it to play in reverse.
3. As you continue to hold REVERSE (COLOR), release the pad. Normal playback direction
resumes.
4. You may now release the REVERSE (COLOR) button.
Practice changing the playback directions of various Samples using the F1. You'll soon no-
tice that there is a logic in the "finger dancing" that you perform while doing this. Normal
playback always results when you release the pad first, before releasing the REVERSE
(COLOR) button. Reverse playback is locked on when the pad is released last. Try it out!
