The following controls are disabled when you enter Edit mode:
• SYNC (MASTER)
• QUANT
• CAPTURE (DELETE)
• REVERSE (COLOR)
• TYPE (PITCH)
• SIZE (SPEED)
• BROWSE (MIDI)
4.11.1 Activating Edit Mode and Selecting Sub-Modes
To toggle Edit mode on and off:

Hold SHIFT and press the QUANT (EDIT) button.
When active, both the SHIFT and QUANT (EDIT) buttons will blink on and off. When you deac-
tivate Edit mode, SHIFT and QUANT (EDIT) will be dim.
As mentioned above, Edit mode has sub-modes for selecting its various functions. Select the
sub-modes with the encoder knob when Edit mode is active; the Display then shows the cur-
rent mode.
The Edit Sub-modes
• Copy & Paste: Shown as "CP" on the Display. This is for making copies of a Sample.
