▪ When the F1 button (FILTER) is selected, you can narrow your search by using the F3 but-

ton, the Left/Right Arrow buttons, and the Control encoder to select the file type, the con-

tent type (factory or user files), the product/bank/sub-bank, and the desired Type (and

possibly Mode) tags.

▪ When the F2 button (LIST) is selected, you see the corresponding search result list. Using

the Control encoder you can select and load the desired file.

The above steps are described in detail in the following sections. In addition, you will find on

your controller most of the browsing aids available in the software, as described in section

↑3.3, Additional Browsing Tools.

If you want to use your hardware a lot make sure you tag all the files you want to use exten-

sively! This makes it a much easier to access them using the hardware.

3.2.2 Selecting a File Type

The File Type selector shows six icons representing the different file types of MASCHINE:

Click the desired icon in the File Type selector to display only the files of that type in the

Result list.
