Your adjustments are quantized according to the Pattern Grid. If the Pattern Grid resolution is
set to Quick mode, the quantization will use bars instead. If the Pattern Grid is disabled (i.e.
set to Off) you can freely adjust the Loop Range at the maximum resolution.
For more information on the Pattern Grid, see section ↑7.1.6, Adjusting the Pattern Grid
and the Pattern Length.
Manual Loop Range Adjustments and Playback Position
Manual adjustments of the Loop Range can also affect the playhead position:
▪ If the playhead is within the Loop Range it will stay within it no matter how the Loop
Range is moved or resized:
◦ As you move the Loop Range’s start point (or the whole Loop Range) to the right in
the Arranger, if the start point reaches the playhead position the playhead will follow
the start point to the right as long as necessary in order to stay within the Loop Range.
◦ As you move the Loop Range’s end point (or the whole Loop Range) to the left in the
Arranger, if the end point reaches the playhead position, the playhead will jump to the
Loop Range’s start point.
▪ If the playhead was outside the Loop Range and gets into the Loop Range (because of the
normal playback, a change in the Loop Range or any other reason), the above applies.
▪ Any resulting jump of the playhead will be based on the same rules as when you move it
manually — see section ↑13.1.4, Jumping to Another Playback Position in Your Project
for more information.
13.3.1.1 Selecting a Loop Range on the MASCHINE MIKRO MK2 Controller
On your controller you have several methods to control the Loop Range.
Setting the Loop Range to a Single Scene
You can easily set the Loop Range to a single Scene by selecting this Scene with the pads:
1. Press and hold SCENE to enter Scene mode (you can pin it by pressing CONTROL).
2. Press SHIFT + Left/Right Arrow button to select the Scene bank containing the Scene you
want to loop.
3. Press the pad of the Scene you want to loop.
