In order to use Step Sequencer mode with the TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 controller you
need to import the Step Sequencer User Mapping into TRAKTOR, and to select the User
Map option in the Preferences. For an explanation on how to import the Step Sequencer

Digital Display
When Step Sequencer mode is active, the digital display of TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 can show
values of the following parameters:
A number between 1 and 16 that indicates the number of steps set for the sequence of the
selected sample.
When the Swing parameter is engaged, the display can show numbers between 1 and 80.
Pad Area
Each of the 16 pads represent one step of the sequence.
A dim pad indicates that a step that is not set (i.e. no sample will be played).
A fully lit pad indicates that a step that is set (i.e. a sample will be played).
A yellow lit pad indicates the current playhead position of the sequence.
3.9.1 Switching to Step Sequencer Mode
Once you have imported the TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 Step Sequencer User Mapping and se-
lected the option User Map as described in the Knowledge Base article, perform the following
actions in order to switch to Step Sequencer mode:
