9 Using the Header and Global Sections
The Header section in TRAKTOR contains various status indicators and useful functions
and buttons, e.g. the Preferences button. The Global section contains the Master panel,
which contains the main output of TRAKTOR. It also lets you control the effects, the Mas
ter Clock, and allows audio recording of your mixes.
9.1 Header

The Header is the small horizontal strip located at the very top of TRAKTOR’s user inter
face. Its elements are described hereafter from left to right.

Click on the TRAKTOR logo to open the About screen. The About screen displays the full
version number of your TRAKTOR software.
Status Indicators

Several status indicators update you about the current state of the TRAKTOR software.
From left to right:
CTRL indicator: displays the incoming MIDI and Native (NHL) signals. It flashes blue
while a signal is received.
