SECTION 5: DEALER PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
5.1 Passive/Active/Passive with Passive Lock Mode(Factory Default Setting: Active Mode)
Passive mode means that the system automatically interrupts the starter and arm the system thirty seconds after
the ignition key is turned off and the last door of the vehicle is closed. Passive mode is sometimes referred to as
Automatic System Activation.
Active mode means that the system will not engage until you manually turn it on by pressing the arm button on
your the transmitter. Active mode is sometimes referred to as Manual System Activation.
Passive Mode with Passive Lock Mode means that the system automatically arm the system and locks all doors
thirty seconds after the ignition key is turned off and the last door of the vehicle is closed. This assumes that
Keyless Entry feature has been installed by your Dealer.
CAUTION: If the automatic door lock feature is installed and the system is programmed to passive lock
mode the doors will lock automatically when the system arms. It is always advisable to remove the
ignition key each time you exit the vehicle.
5.2 Drive Lock Mode (Factory Default Setting: Drive Lock Mode Off)
Drive Lock Mode means that all doors will lock automatically two (2) seconds after the ignition key is turned on and
will unlock automatically when the ignition key is turned off. This assumes that your Dealer has installed the
keyless entry option. Drive Lock Mode is sometimes referred to as Ignition Lock.
The system also has Drive Lock without Drive Unlock Mode. This means that all doors will lock automatically two
seconds after the ignition key is turned on but will not unlock automatically when the ignition key is turned off.
5.3 Door Pulse (Factory Default Setting: Door Pulse 0.75 second)
Door Pulse means that the system can accommodate the factory central locking systems of various types of
vehicles including import vehicles having vacuum door lock actuators that require a three-second lock pulse and
vehicles requiring dual unlock pulse. Once your Dealer programs this feature it never needs to be changed.
5.4 Siren / Horn (Factory Default Setting: Siren)
Horn mode means that the factory horn can be used to replace or eliminate the standard electronic siren. Your
Dealer can program the system at the time of installation to accommodate this feature. An electronic siren can be
installed to replace the horn pulse feature if ever desired.
5.5 Passive Warning Chirp (Factory Default Setting: Passive Warning Chirp Off)
Passive Warning Chirp means that in passive mode (5.1) the system gives soft warming chirp sounds during thirty
second locking period after each temporary disarm or after an activation of the optional trunk release feature.
5.6 Keyless Entry Mode (Factory Default Setting: Alarm Mode)
Keyless Entry Mode means that all keyless entry functions are enabled, but all alarm functions are disabled. This
allows you the convenience of remote control access into and egress from your vehicle using the RF the
transmitter. You do not need to use the factory door key or the alarm system. Other features such as trunk
release, starter interrupt, light, horn lock/unlock verification and remote engine start remain active in this mode.
5.7 CH2 Option (Factory Default Setting: Disarm using CH2)
CH2 can be configured to your specific need. General usage for CH2 is Trunk Release. If CH2 is used as Trunk
Release, generally you want to disarm the system when CH2 is used. However, you can select to have your
system disarm or stay arm when CH2 is used.
