4. Intended use
To identify a bracelet once the reader is installed, it should only be placed on the cover of
the device so that it is close to the antenna, as shown in the following figure.
Ilustration 3 – Reader ready (Blue light)
Make sure that the cursor on the screen of the computer in which the reader is connected
is located in the place you want to write the identifier of the bracelet you wish to identify.
The reader works like a keyboard and will write where the cursor is positioned.
When the bracelet is detected the indicator light will turn yellow. Be patient, some reading
may take a few seconds.
Ilustration 4 – Bracelet detected: blocked reader (Yellow light)
If a correct reading is determined, the reader will write as text the unique identification
number of the detected bracelet, in the position where the cursor is on the screen, the device
being locked until the bracelet is removed. This is so to avoid repeated reading of the same
device. Both the blocking and the yellow light indication will remain until the bracelet is
removed. At that time the reader will return to the initial state.
In the event that the bracelet has an almost exhausted battery, the reader will notify you by
writing the following text on the screen: “Low battery”
