22 Using Cricket Broadband Connect
TEXT MESSAGING
When a new text message is received the text message icon on the main screen will flash.
Clicking on this icon will open the Text Msg Inbox.
Cricket Broadband Connect will read the Text messages from the modem and display them in the inbox.
This can be accessed though the main screen or by selecting View > Text Msg > Inbox.
The Inbox displays information about the message and give you the ability to create a new message, reply to an existing message, forward a message, and to delete messages.
There is also the ability to create folders and organize the messages.
The default Text Message Inbox subfolders are
Outbox – Text messages waiting to be sent
Drafts Text messages saved as Drafts
Sent Messages – Text messages successfully sent
Failed Transmissions – Text messages that failed to send
Inbox – Default folder new text messages are saved into
OPERATIONS ON DOCUMENTS/TRANSMISSIONS:
1. Click a document/transmission to select it.
2. Then click the button corresponding to the desired action.
Inbox
Using the menus:
To create a new Mailbox, from the File menu, select New and Mailbox.
To view a document, from the File menu, select Open.
To print a document, from the File menu, select Print.
To save a document in text format, from the File menu, select Save As... .
To modify a document status, from the Edit menu, select Change status... .
