8.5. INSTALLATION OF OTHER PARTS
When installing parts purchased with your printer, refer to the procedures below.
Caution :
• Before installation, always perform the following.
• Power OFF the power source.
• Remove the power source plug from the outlet.
• Remove all cables connected to the printer.
Failure to do so could result in damaging the printer or your computer.
• Touch a metallic section of the product, to remove any static electricity in
your body. The electronic components can be damaged from static
electricity.
• When installing, do not touch the elements on the circuit board. The elements on
the boards can be very hot, and can cause burns.
8.5.1. Installing expansion memory
This product has the following memory installed as standard, but it can be expanded optionally up to 256MB
(memory sold separately).
• 50” model :128MB
• 64” model :128MB

Notes :
• 87” model has been loaded with the standard 256MB memory. Memory
expansion exceeding this is not possible.
Use the following procedure to install the expansion memory.
Step 1 :
Remove the maintenance cover on the side of the printer.

Loosen the 8 screws inside the maintenance cover. Remove the expansion memory cover.
