7.7.2 Replacing the absorbents
To replace the absorbents, please follow the instructions mentioned below.
Step 1 : Power ON the printer and go to the “WiperClean-Menu”. This will cause the unlocking of the
carriage.

Step 2 : To select “YES”, press the [F2] key on the operation panel.
¾ The printer enters the cleaning wiper mode.
¾ The carriage moves to the waiting position for cleaning the wiper.
¾ The following message will appear on the operation panel.
* WiperClean *
Changed
wiper?
→ ENTER
Step 3 : Open the front cover.
Step 4 : Carefully remove the absorbent and install a new absorbent. Make sure the absorbent is well
positioned.
Notes :
• It is recommended to wear gloves.
Step 5 : Press the [ENTER] key on the operation panel.
¾ The carriage moves back to the capping station.
¾ The printer returns to the normal status.
Step 6 : Replacing the absorbent has been finished.
