You may not obtain reasonable quality with media other than recommended media.
N° Possible cause Solutions
1 The media is damped. Replace with new media.
2 You used folded, creased or curled media.
3 Check the media for curling or lift off. Use the recommended media.
When using media other than recommended
media, set the following items in the media
setting menu.

Stiff
(6) Printing position is not correct (some positions are not printed.)
N° Possible cause Solutions
1 The loading position of the media is not correct. Load the media correctly.
2 You used the scale setting. Turn off the scale setting, or make the setting
again.
3 You set the origin or starting position. Turn off the origin or starting position setting,
or make the setting again.
(7) Media jams occur frequently.
Notes
We cannot ensure correct media feeding with media other than recommended media.
N° Possible cause Solutions
1 You did not use recommended media. Use recommended media.
2 You used the printer in an environment other than
the specified environment.
Use the printer in the specified environment.
3 You used old media. Replace with new media.
4 You used folded, creased, or curled media.
5 Check the media for curling or lift off. Use the recommended media.
When using media other than recommended
media, set the following items in the media
setting menu.
 Media
 HeadHeight
 Stiff
(8) Roll media cannot be cut correctly.
N° Possible cause Solutions
1 The edge of the cutting blade is not sharp. Replace the cutting blade.
2 The roll media has static electricity. Remove the static electricity on the roll media.
3 Media is too heavy to be cut automatically. Cut the media manually.
(9) You cannot perform initial ink charging.
N° Possible cause Solutions
1 The front cover is open or the hold lever is up. Close the front cover and lower the hold lever.
2 Some of the 16 ink cassettes have not been loaded
properly.
Load all of the 16 cassettes properly.
