INSTALLATION
Flush mounting
NOTE: Flush mounting is a custom-installation procedure that
may require additional materials that are not supplied with the
MS-8.
1. Find a suitable location with a at surface thats large enough
for the remote and has 1/2" (13mm) of clearance underneath.
2. Ensure that no hazards or wiring are underneath the
mounting surface.
3. Mark the cutout opening using the inside of the trim ring as a
template.
4. Cut the mounting surface just large enough to allow the
mounting cup to sit ush against the surface.
5. Remove the remote from the mounting cup. Observe the
position of the mounting cups nger cutout, as shown in the
illustration.
6. Secure the mounting cup in place using glue or double-stick
tape.
Replacing the battery in the remote control
1. Remove the two screws in the bottom of the remote.
2. Remove the remotes bottom cover.
3. Use a pencil or similar object to push the battery out of its
holder.
4. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 3V battery.
NOTE: Insert the battery into the holder with its positive (+)
pole facing up.
5. Replace the remotes bottom cover and screws.

MOUNTING THE REMOTE CONTROL
Surface mounting
1. Find a suitable mounting location with a at surface that’s large
enough for the remote. (Note: The remote control is held in the cup
by a magnet, so you can mount the cup on a vertical surface if you
want.)
2. Ensure that no hazards or wiring are underneath the mounting
surface.
3. Remove the remote from the mounting cup. Observe the position
of the mounting cups nger cutout, as shown in the illustration.
4. Use two (2) of the supplied screws or some double-stick tape (not
supplied) to attach the mounting cup and trim ring to a at surface,
as shown in the illustration.
