802.1x
IEEE 802.1X is an IEEE Standard for port-based Network Access Control and is part of
the IEEE 802.1 group of networking protocols. It provides an authentication mechanism
to devices wishing to attach to a LAN or WLAN.
Enable 802.1x By enabling this option, Konftel 300IP asks an authentication
server for permission when connected to the LAN.
EAP method Select which EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol) method to
use: MD5 or TLS.
Username The device identity in the network.
MD5 password Password for the device identity when using MD5.
Certicate Here you can upload a certicate to the Konftel 300IP to be used
for authentication when using TLS.
Root certicate The public key in the root certicate is used to verify other certi-
cates when using TLS.
Private key Here you can upload a private key to the Konftel 300IP to be used
for authentication when using TLS.
TLS password The password used for encryption of the private key when using
TLS.
