STRATEGY 3: APPROACH A3 MONOCHROME MFP CUSTOMER BASE
This is a two tiered strategy targeting monochrome users. First, aging Segment1/A3
machines should be targeted for replacement if the customer hasno use for the A3
capability. In these instances the customer will bene t from a low cost color machine
o ering similar functionality to their low end A3 monochrome MFP.
Secondly, for customers exclusively using higher segment A3 monochrome MFPs, the
MFX-C3035 is a good seed unit for entrance into color. Many customers, especially
given the economic climate, are hesitant to deploy color MFPs due tocost. The MFX-
C3035’s low acquisition cost makes this an ideal  rst color unit.

STRATEGY 4: REPLACEMENT FOR COMPETITOR’S A3 COLOR MFPS
The MFX-C3035 can be o ered as a replacement to a competitors A3 color device if
the customer has no need for A3 compatibility. Before o ering the MFX-C3035 asa
replacement, signi cant time should be spent ensuring that the MFX-C2828 MFP
would not be a better  t.
