AUTO TRAPPING (PostScript Only)

When data is prepared on a color-by-color basis, if the borders between colors

areout of alignment, there is a possibility that nothing will actually be printed

andthat some areas will be left white after four-color printing. In Auto Trapping

mode, areas that remain white are printed with an optimal color created from

surrounding colors. As a result the areas in question are not rendered in white.

PPML VARIABLE DATA PRINTING VDP (PostScript Only)

The MFX-C3035 supports PPML (Personalized Print Markup Language), a technology

designed for high-speed variable printing output by non-pro t organization PODi.

Data is divided into  xed and variable parts. Data that has been processed by RIP

for each part is saved, reused, and printed out. As not all data for each page is

processed, the load on the RIP is lightened, enabling high-speed printing.

Competitors in this area include Adobe, EFI and Creo, but all these  rms are mainly

concerned with production products.
