A How To Install Getting Started How To Install STEP 1: IDENTIFY GATE PLACEMENT This gate fits openings 30" (76.2cm) to 32" (81.3cm). GATE IS SUITABLE FOR: TOP OF STAIRS If installing the gate at the top of stairs, it MUST be installed on the top landing and only swing away from the stairway. STEP 2: INSTALL LOWER HINGE (WALL BRACKET) B TOOLS NEEDED: • Drill • Phillips Screwdriver • Adhesive Tape • Hex Key • Pencil • Wrench 1. Cut template along the dotted line to separate template “A” and “B".
How To Install How To Install STEP 3: INSTALL LOWER CATCH (WALL BRACKET) 5a. For Drywall Without Stud / Plasterboard: Drill a 7/32”(5.5mm) hole into the drywall at each pencil mark. Insert a drywall anchor into each hole. 1. Place template “B” against the wall with tape, flush to the floor. Mark the screw holes with a pencil to create indentation, then remove the template. 5a. Drywall Use a screwdriver or drill to insert the screws through the lower hinge wall bracket into the drywall anchors.
How To Install How To Install STEP 4: SETTING YOUR GATE STEP 5: INSTALL UPPER HINGE (WALL BRACKET) 1. The gap between the gate to the wall should be less than 2.6” (66 mm). If necessary, adjust the lower hinge bracket using the wrench to its appropriate length. Then tighten the nut against the tube by using the wrench. 1. Slide the upper hinge bracket into upper hinge pin. Hold the bracket against the wall so that it’s directly above the lower hinge.
How To Install How To Install STEP 6: INSTALL UPPER CATCH (WALL BRACKET) 3. Place again the upper hinge bracket against the pencil lines on the wall and mark the screw hole with a pencil to create an indentation. 1. Place the gate back into position, hinge side first. Drop both the upper and lower hinge pins into their respective brackets at the same time. Then, remove template “A” from the wall. 4.
B How To Install How To Install ADJUSTING BOLT ADJUSTER 3. Determine whether there is a stud behind the drywall where you will install the upper catch wall bracket. Proceed to either 4a or 4b. 4a. Drywall 4a. For Drywall Without Stud / Plasterboard: Drill a 7/32”(5.5mm) hole into the drywall at each pencil center mark. Insert a drywall anchor into each hole. Use a screwdriver or drill to insert the screws through the upper catch wall bracket into the drywall anchor.
How to Use OPENING YOUR GATE ADJUSTING THE SWING GUARD Push the lever on the upper catch bracket to the side with your thumb, then lift the gate out. The swing guard is located on the lower catch wall bracket. How to Use If the gate is placed at the top or bottom of stairs, always rotate the swing guard so that the gate can only swing away from the stairs. Choose either 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock position.

Instalación Instalación PASO 2: INSTALACIÓN DE LA BISAGRA INFERIOR (SOPORTE DE PARED) 5a. Para paredes de yeso sin montantes / Placas de yeso: Taladre un orificio de 7/32 pulg. (5.5mm) en la pared de yeso sobre la marca que hizo con el lápiz. Inserte un anclaje de pared en cada orificio.

Coloque la plantilla “B” sobre la pared con cinta adhesiva, a ras del suelo. Marque los orificios para los tornillos en el recorte con un lápiz para crear la hendidura, luego quite la plantilla. 1. El espacio entre la barrera y la pared debe ser inferior a 2.6 pulg. (66mm).

De ser necesario, afloje la tuerca y extienda la varilla de ajuste del lado del seguro superior hasta que quede apoyada en el soporte.

A Installation Démarrage Installation ÉTAPE 1 : CHOIX DE L'EMPLACEMENT DE LA BARRIÈRE La barrière clôture des ouvertures de 76.2cm à 81.3cm. BARRIÈRE CONÇUE POUR UNE INSTALLATION : EN HAUT DES ESCALIERS Si vous installez la barrière en haut des marches d’escalier, elle DOIT être placée sur le pallier supérieur et s’ouvrir dans le sens opposé aux escaliers.
Installation Installation ÉTAPE 3 : INSTALLATION DE LA FERMETURE INFÉRIEURE (FIXATION MURALE) 5a. Pour les cloisons sèches sans montant / placoplâtre : Percez un trou de 5,5 mm dans la cloison sèche sur la marque de crayon. Enfoncez une cheville dans chaque trou. 1. Collez le gabarit B contre le mur au ras du sol avec le ruban adhésif. Marquez les emplacements pour les trous de vis dans la pièce découpée avec un crayon puis retirez le gabarit. 5a.
Installation Installation ÉTAPE 4 : PLACEMENT DE LA BARRIÈRE ÉTAPE 5 : INSTALLATION DE LA CHARNIÈRE SUPÉRIEURE (FIXATION MURALE) 1. L’espace entre la barrière et le mur doit être inférieur à 66 mm. Au besoin, ajustez la fixation de charnière inférieure avec la clé à la longueur appropriée. Puis serrez l’écrou contre le tube à l'aide de la clé. 1. Amenez la fixation de charnière supérieure vers la broche de charnière supérieure et engagezla à l’intérieur.
Installation Installation ÉTAPE 6 : INSTALLATION DE LA FERMETURE SUPÉRIEURE (FIXATION MURALE) 3. Placez à nouveau la fixation de charnière supérieure contre les lignes au crayon sur le mur et marquez le trou d’emplacement de la vis au crayon. 1. Placez la barrière en position, le côté charnière en premier. Engagez simultanément les broches de charnière supérieure et inférieure dans leur fixation respective. Enlevez le gabarit A du mur. 4.
B Installation Installation RÉGLAGE DU BOULON D’AJUSTEMENT 3. Déterminez s’il y a un montant derrière la cloison sèche où vous allez installer la fixation murale de fermeture inférieure. Procédez à l’étape 4a ou 4b. 4a. Pour les cloisons sèches sans montant / placoplâtre : Percez un trou de 5,5 mm dans la cloison sèche sur la marque de crayon. Enfoncez une cheville. Avec un tournevis ou une perceuse, enfoncez la vis par la fixation murale de fermeture supérieure à l’intérieur de la cheville. 4a.
Mode d’emploi OUVERTURE DE LA BARRIÈRE RÉGLAGE DE LA PROTECTION BATTANTE Appuyez sur le levier de la fixation de fermeture supérieur vers l’avant puis soulevez la barrière. La protection battante est située sur la fixation murale de fermeture inférieure. Mode d’emploi Si la barrière est placée en haut ou en bas des marches d’escaliers, réglez toujours la protection battante de manière à ce que la barrière ne s’ouvre jamais du côté des escaliers.
