Chapter 4 - RouteFinder Software
Chapter 4 describes the RouteFinder software package designed for the Windows® environment.
This software includes five functions for Configuration Port Setup, Remote User Data Base, Router
Configuration, SNMP Manager, and WAN Device Configuration plus two download functions for
downloading either the default setup or a firmware update.
Chapter 5 - Remote Configuration and Management
Chapter 5 provides procedures for changing the configuration of a remote RouteFinder, located
elsewhere on a LAN or at the other end of a modem connection. This chapter also describes typical
Telnet client and Web-browser management of the RouteFinder.
Chapter 6 - Service, Warranty and Tech Support
Chapter 6 provides statements concerning the product warranty, has space for recording information
about your RouteFinder prior to calling Multi-Tech’s Technical Support, and includes instructions for
contacting Technical Support and returning your RouteFinder to the factory if it requires service. Also
included is information on how to use our bulletin board service (BBS), and how to obtain product
support through CompuServe and the Internet. There is also an explanation of how to order technical
literature using our 24-hour Fax-Back Service.

Guide, a Client Setup User Guide, and a Remote Access Server Dial-Out Redirector User Guide. The
printed version of the Quick Start Guide, shipped with the unit, provides the necessary information for
a qualified person to unpack, cable, load software, and configure the unit for proper operation. The
Client Setup User Guide is for multiple users to configure their Windows 95 PCs to dial in to a
Remote Access Server. The Dial-Out Redirector User Guide is for those who need communications
connectivity for their Windows or DOS dial-out or fax-out programs. Copies of the following guides
are provided on the Manuals diskette that ships with each RouteFinder, and you can always find the
latest version of these guides at Multi-Tech’s Web site.
