Ifyoudidnotusethepre‐installerforWindows,thisistheprocessforinstallingyourmodem.
1. Powerupyourcomputer.
2. Ifyouhavenotalreadydoneso,connectthemodem’sUSBcabletoaUSBportonthecomputerand
connectthephone linebetweenthemodemandatelephonewalljack.
3. WindowswilldetectthatthenewmodemispresentandstarttheNewHardwarewizard.Selectthe
‘Locateandinstalldriversoftware(recommended)’option.

Note:
Throughouttheinstallation,youmaybepromptedbytheVista‘UserAccountControl’(hereafter
referredtoastheUAC).Whenprompted,pleaseclicktheContinuebuttontoproceedwiththe
installation.
4. TheNewHardwarewizardwillnowaskifyouwanttosearchonlinefordrivers,select‘Don’tsearch
online.’

5. Windowswillnowdirectyoutoinsertthediscthatcamewithyourdevice–ifyouhavenotalreadydone
so,puttheMT9234ZBA‐CDCdiscintoyouropticaldrive.

TheCDfortheMT9234ZBA‐CDCutilizestheAutorunfeature.YoushouldexittheCDmenuifit
appearsduringtheinstallprocess.

