ConnectingtheAntenna,SerialCable,GPIOCable,andPower

1. ConnectasuitableantennatotheSMAconnector.Formoreinformation,seeantennaspecificationsin
Chapter1.
2. Ifyouareconnectingtoaserialinterface,connecttheDE9connector(9‐pin)oftheRS232cabletotheRS232
connectoronthemodemandconnecttheotherendtoserialportonyourPC.
IfyouareconnectingtoanUSBinterface,connectanUSBcabletotheUSBconn
ectoronthebackoftheunit
andtheotherendtotheUSBportonyourPC.
3. ConnecttheGPIOcabletotheI/Oconnectoronthemodemandtheotherendtotheexternaldevicethatthe
modemismonitoring.
4. Dependingonthepowersource,connecteitherthepowersupplymodulewiththeappropriatebladeorthe
optionalDCpowercable.Ifyouareusingthepowersupplymodule,removetheprotectiveshippingcover.
Attachtheappropriateinterchangeablebladepiecetothepowersupplymodule.


ersupplymoduletothepowerconnectiononthemodem.Now,plug
thepowersupplyintoyourpowersource.
