7.13 ATS6 Set Pause before Blind Dialing
Description: No effect for GSM.

7.14 ATS7 Set Number of Seconds to Wait for
Connection Completion
Description: ATS7 specifies the number of seconds the TA will wait for the completion of the call setup
when answering or originating a data call. Also referred to as “no answer timeout”. To put
it plainly, this is the time to wait for the carrier signal. If no carrier signal is received within
the specified time, the TA hangs up.

<n>
Number of seconds to wait for connection completion 000...060 (Default is 060)
Notes:
• Command ATS7 is applicable only to data calls.
• Values greater than 60 (maximum 255) cause no error, but <n> will be restored to the maximum value of 60.
• The correlation between ATS7 and ATS0 is important. If the called party has specified a high value for
ATS0=<n>, call setup may fail.
Example: Call setup may fail if ATS7=30 and ATS0=20.
7.15 ATS8 Set Number of Seconds to Wait for
Comma Dialing Modifier
Description: No effect for GSM. This command specifies the amount of time, in seconds, that the DCE
shall pause, during signaling of call addressing information to the network (dialing), when
a “,” (comma) dial modifier is encountered in a dial string.

Response: <n>

Write Command Syntax: ATS8=<n>

0 DCE does not pause when “,” encountered in dial string. Default.
