Printers and Queues

Printer characteristics define the types of printers your system uses. Printer characteristics are

pre-defined. Your installer and system administrator can make necessary additions or

adjustments for your system.

Define printer escape sequences within Eterm, logged into Eclipse, on the System > System Files

> Printer Setup > Printer Characteristics screen shown below.

The General Sequences default to the number you enter in the # of Paper Paths field. This

number determines which Select Paths appear on the Printer Commands screen, when you use

the Printer Commands hot key.

For example, entering 2 in the # of Paper Paths field, causes “Select Path # 1” and Select Path #

2” to appear on the Printer Commands screen when using the Printer Commands hot key. If the

example used here, you entered a 1, so only “Select Path # 1” appears on the screen when using

the Printer Commands hot key.
