Verifying Solar Class Files
Before installing Solar Eclipse client software on a PC, verify the following two things:
The Solar class files exist and are in the correct location.
The release engineering team puts the classes on your system.
The PC on which you plan to install the Solar client software can see the Solar class files.
To verify that Solar class files exist:
1. Log in to AIX as root.
2. Enter the following command to go to the javalib directory:
cd/javalib
3. Enter the following command to verify the displayed path, which should be /javalib:
pwd
4. Enter the following command to display the javalib files and directories:
ls
The following list displays:
3rd_Party_licenses.txt
Com
ClassArchive.zip
client_updates
Note: If this list does not display, contact Eclipse.
To verify that the PC can see the Solar class files:
1. On the PC, click the Start menu and then select Run to display the Run window.
2. In the Run box, enter \\servername\javalib.
The list of javalib files and directories displays.
Note: If the system prompts you for a password, the PC needs to be joined to the
appropriate Windows domain. Contact your system administrator or
Eclipse.
