Troubleshooting Eterm for DOS
Review the following troubleshooting issues if problems arise.
Accessing the Main Eterm for DOS Menu
If Eterm for DOS hangs, try accessing the main menu by using Ctrl-Prt Scrn.
Changing Settings and Reconnecting
From the main Eterm for DOS menu, use the Arrow keys to select CONFIGURE and press
Enter to display the Configure screen. In the Configure screen, use the Arrow keys to move
between the fields. After making the necessary changes, select CONTINUE, and press Enter to
save the changes and exit the dialog box.
From the main Eterm for DOS menu, use the Arrow keys to select RECONNECT, and press
Enter. You must reconnect for the new changes to take affect.
Disconnecting from the Host System
Always log off Eclipse before disconnecting from the host system. From the System menu select
LogOff.
When the main Eterm for DOS menu appears, use the Arrow keys to select QUIT from the
menu, and press Enter.
Modem and network connections will receive a connection lost message.
Printing Intuit Eclipse Screens
To print a screen from Eclipse, press Shift-Prt Scrn. This assumes that a printer is attached to
the same LPT port specified in the Configure screen.
If you are running Eterm for DOS in a DOS emulation window under the Windows 3.1.1,
Windows 95, or Windows 98 environment, you must disable the usage of the Print Screen
shortcut key by the Windows environment. See your Windows documentation for instructions.
If you are running Eterm for DOS in a DOS emulation window under the Windows 3.1.1,
Windows 95, or Windows 98 environment, and you are printing to a network printer, you must
configure the network printer to print from the specified LPT port. See your Windows
documentation for instructions.
Reconnecting with the Host System
If you lose connection with the host system, Eterm for DOS displays a Connection Lost menu.
To reconnect, use the Arrow keys to select RECONNECT from the displayed menu, and press
Enter.
If you have made changes to the Configure Communications screen, the system uses the new
settings when reconnecting.
