6. To enable or disable HPCL PRINTING choose ON or OFF, respectively.
If PRINTER is set to a valid LPT port and HPCL PRINTING is set to ON, using
the Shift-Print Screen key sequence causes Eterm to send line HPCL commands to
the printer to draw the screen.
If PRINTER is set to a valid LPT port and HPCL PRINTING is set to OFF, using
the Shift-Print Screen key sequence causes Eterm to send line-drawing characters to
the printer to draw the screen. If your printer does not support the line-drawing
character set, you will get less than desirable results.
If PRINTER is set to NONE, Eterm disables screen printing, regardless of the value
of HPCL PRINTING.
7. Leave the TERM ID field blank.
8. To enable or disable HILITE, choose ON or OFF, respectively, to control whether
Eterm displays the currently active input field in reverse video.
9. Set ENABLE DEBUG to ON to allow the DEBUG option to appear on the main Eterm
menu.
Selecting DEBUG from the main Eterm menu displays the debugging screen, which
Intuit Eclipse Support uses for diagnosing problems with Eterm.
10. Set ENABLE UD to ON to display a list of user-defined screens whenever you press the
Alt key.
This feature is useful for new users becoming accustomed to new user-defined screens.
Afterwards, the user might want to disable this feature.
11. Choose CONTINUE to accept the changes and dismiss the dialog box.
Caution: On dumb terminals, the configuration information is stored on the boot
diskette. Whenever making changes to a diskette, always allow the diskette
drive (A) to come to a complete halt before removing the diskette. Failure
to this can result in corrupted files.
Eterm is now configured to run Eclipse on a modem connection.
