Copying the Eterm for DOS Diskette
Before using Eterm for DOS on your computer, make copies of the original source diskettes
from Intuit Eclipse. Keep these diskettes in a safe place. Only make changes to copies of the
original diskettes.
To copy the Eterm for DOS diskette:
1. Before continuing with this procedure, write-protect your Eterm for DOS diskette to
ensure that you do not accidentally over-write your source diskette.
2. Use the diskcopy command to format your diskettes and copy files in one of the
following ways:
• From a PC with MS-DOS installed on the hard drive (C:) and assuming that your
diskette drive is A:, at the DOS prompt type:
C:\> diskcopy a: a:
• From a dumb terminal, at the A: drive prompt type:
A:\> diskcopy a: a:
3. Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.
The system prompts you to insert the source diskette (your Eterm for DOS diskette) and
your target diskette (a blank diskette) in turn.
Note: Whenever making changes to a diskette, always allow the diskette drive
(A:) to come to a complete halt before removing the diskette. Failure to do
this can result in corrupted files.
